A hospice in need of £16,000 a day to run all its services has announced a major new fundraiser.
Ahead of world baking day on Friday, Teesside Hospice is announced Tea for Teesside - its take on the globally-popular coffee morning.
The charity is offering support for anyone wanting to get involved in the fundraiser, which will run from June 17 to 28.
Channon Barlow, head of fundraising at Teesside Hospice, said: “Teesside Hospice was built upon community fundraising over 40 years ago in 1982. We wouldn’t be here without the Teesside community. For those who take their precious time to raise essential funds for those living with a terminal illness – thank you.”
Those signing up to hold an event will receive a fundraising pack, which will include recipes, posters, invites, bunting and flags.
