(ROAD C169 OVINGTON LANE OVINGTON) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2012
The Council, on 10.12.12, made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, its effect being to close to vehicular traffic an 85m length of C169 Ovington Lane between the Village Hall and Ovington Edge, Ovington to enable land slip stabilisation and remedial works to be undertaken.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from Tuesday 18.12.12 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 4 months. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is from the north eastern side of the closure southerly from Ovington Lane at its junction at Winston Gate via B6274 to Caldwell then westerly along West Lane and Little Hutton Lane and northerly along Girlington Bank to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa.
