HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116
STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Darlington Borough Council as the Highway Authority intend to apply to the South Durham Magistrates Court sitting at Parkgate, Darlington on the 9th January 2014 at 2pm for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that those lengths of highway situate in Darlington mentioned in the Schedule hereto be authorised to be stopped-up on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing those lengths of highways to be stopped up shaded with cross hatch has been deposited at the Town Hall, Feethams, Darlington DL1 5QT and may be inspected there free of charge between the hours of 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Any person wishing to object to the proposal or to make representations about it may appear at the hearing at the date and time shown above. The Council requests that advance notice of any such objection is given in writing to the undersigned quoting reference - AE.
