NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOCAL INQUIRY WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SECTION 53
Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine North Yorkshire County Council
Bridleway No. 20.3/2Arrathorne Modification Order 2013 and will attend at:
Grand Meeting Room, County Hall, Northallerton,
North Yorkshire DL7 8AD
On Wednesday 12 February 2014 at 10.00am
To hold a public local inquiry into the Order The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications will be to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by deleting and downgrading sections of Bridleway no. 20.3/2 as follows:
1. Deleting the section which runs from the junction with the Hunton to Arrathorne road at Grid Reference 41984 49312 (Point A on the map attached to the Order) across a field in a generally easterly direction for approximately 157 metres to its junction with Public Footpath no. 20.3/4 at Grid Reference 41999 49314 (Point B on the map attached to the Order).
2. Downgrading to the status of footpath the section which runs from the junction with Public Footpath no.
20.3/4 at Grid Reference 41999 49314 (Point B
on the map attached to the Order) for approximately 59 metres in a generally east-north-easterly direction to its junction with the publicly maintainable highway at Grid Reference 42005 49317 (Point C on the map attached to the Order).
3. Deleting the section which runs along the publicly maintainable highway at Arrathorne for approximately 127 metres from Grid Reference 42005 49317
(Point C on the map attached to the Order) in a generally easterly direction to the eastern end of that highway at from Grid Reference 42017 49317 (Point D on the map attached to the Order).
