(C34, C129 & UNC. 42.7 DENE VALLEY, BISHOP AUCKLAND) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2013

The Council on 09.01.14 made an Order under Sections 81, 82 & 83 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 20.01.14 and (1) reaffirms the existing derestricted speed limit on (a) C129 Hillside Rd., Coundon from its junction with the A689 northerly for 51m; (b) C129 Coundon from 31m east of its junction with the Unc. Fair View Close easterly to its junction with the Unc. 42.8 Leeholme Rd., (c) C129 Gurney Valley from 128m north east of its junction with the Unc. 42.7 north easterly for 318m; and (d) C34 Bone Mill Bank from its junction with the A688 south easterly for 8m. (2) removes the derestricted speed limit and introduce a 40mph speed limit on (a) Unc 42.7 between Auckland Pk. and Gurney Valley from 73m south east of its junction with the Unc. Woodside Meadows south easterly to 224m west of its junction with the C129; and (b) Unc. 42.7 between Auckland Pk. and Coundon Grange from 4m south of the Unc. 42.7 'T' junction south westerly then south easterly to 304m north west of its junction with Jackson St.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within six weeks from 17.01.14, apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
