WITTON LE WEAR)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2014
The Council intend in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to vehicular traffic a 100m length of the Unc. road 41.27 that crosses Witton le Wear Old bridge that extends northwards from its junction with the access to The Lodge south of the bridge, Witton le Wear to enable bridge parapet reconstruction works to be undertaken.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure Order is 18 months and is required from 02.06.14 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 6 weeks. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the south western side of the closure via A68 northwards to the junction of C18a and eastwards to Witton le Wear to the north eastern side of the closure and vice versa.
