TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & NO OVERTAKING
(A6108, SCOTCH CORNER) ORDER 2014 NO 389 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (as amended)

North Yorkshire County Council has made an Order which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A6108, Scotch Corner, from its junction with the roundabout, southwards for an approximate distance of 2000 metres, in the District of Richmondshire in connection with the upgrade of the A1(T).
Overtaking is prohibited on the same length of road and the prohibition will be introduced whenever and wherever necessary by the placement of appropriate signs and or road markings.
The maximum duration of the Order will be from 20.10.14 until 19.04.16 inclusive however it is envisaged that the works will be undertaken over various periods of time within the timescale above. The closure will be put into effect by notices and signs and a local alternative route will be signed on site.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times and vehicular access to premises will be maintained whenever possible.
