DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL (MOVING TRAFFIC) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to impose a 20mph speed limit in Calder Avenue, Foss Court, Glaisdale Court, Nent Way, Paddock Lane, Skerne Way and The Lanes - all in Darlington. Full details are contained in the draft Order which together with a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order and plans showing the restricted areas may be examined during the hours of 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive at the Town Hall, Feethams, Darlington. If you wish to object to the proposals contained in this Order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by the 5 December 2014 to the Borough Solicitor, Town Hall, Darlington DL1 5QT (Ref: AE) or by e-mail to traffic.orders@darlington. gov.uk
DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL (MOVING TRAFFIC) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The effect of the Order, which is operative from the 20 November 2014, will be to amend the Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Consolidation Order 2012 as follows:-
1. Traffic will no longer be prohibited from turning right into Parkgate from Park Place. Traffic will be prohibited from turning right into Stonebridge from St Cuthbert's Way; and from the inside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Stonebridge into St Cuthbert's Way.
2. The bus and taxi lanes for St Cuthbert's Way and Stonebridge will be changed to the descriptions below:-
St Cuthbert's Way - the inside lane of northbound carriageway from its junction with Stonebridge to a point 12m south of its junction with East Street.
Stonebridge - the outside lane of the eastbound carriageway from the western boundary 4 Stonebridge to its junction with St Cuthbert's Way.
3. The bus lanes for Parkgate will be changed to the descriptions below and will also be open to taxis to use:-
Parkgate - the inside lane of the eastbound carriageway from a point 60m east of the eastern boundary 119 Parkgate eastwards for a distance of 116m; and the inside lane of the westbound carriageway from a point 28m west of its junction with Station Access Road to the western boundary110Parkgate.
The notice which was published on the 26 September 2013 in respect of this Order also indicated that it was proposed to remove the prohibition on turning right into Parkgate from Hargreave Terrace. It has been decided not to implement this proposed change. A copy of the Order may be examined
during the hours of 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive at the Town Hall, Feethams, Darlington. If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or any provision of it, on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or of any requirement of that Act or any enactment made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may, within six weeks from the date of this notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
