(A689 BUTTERWICK TO WYNYARD) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2014

The Council, on 27.11.14 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to temporarily restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from travelling in excess of (1) 50mph along A689 for a distance of 530m eastwards from a point immediately west of the crossover to Donnewell farm, Sedgefield; (2) 50mph along A689 for a distance of725mwestwards froma point immediately west of the Wynyard roundabout; (3) 30mph along A689 between the restrictions described in 1 and 2 above; and (4) 30mph in a southerly direction along C23 Butterwick Road from 60m north of its junction with A689. The maximum duration ofthe temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 01.12.14 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 4 days. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
