(30 MPH/40 MPH SPEED LIMITS) (A684, LEYBURN) ORDER 2015
NOTICE is hereby given that North Yorkshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
Prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed
of more than 30 miles per hour on each length of road
specified in Part 1 of the following table;
Prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed
in excess of 40 miles per hour on any length of road
specified in Part 2 of the table below; and
Revoke in its entirety "North Yorkshire County Council
(40 mph Speed Limit) (A684 Harmby Road, Leyburn)
Order 2006".
The proposed Order will extend the existing 30 mph speed limit eastwards along the A684, Harmby Road, Leyburn. TABLE

From a point 74.5 metres north west of its junction with the road leading into the Industrial Estate nearest to 'Tennants Auction House' (measured along the northern kerb line), eastwards to a point 43 metres east of the eastern side of the easternmost junction of the road which leads to Harmby Quarry (measured along the northern kerb line).

From its junctions with the A684, northwards to a point 45 metres north of its junction with the northern side of the cul-de-sac which leads to the Pheasant Inn (measured along the western kerb line).
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton and at Leyburn Library, Thornborough Hall, Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 5AB during normal office hours from 19 December 2014 until 12 January 2015.

send the grounds for your objection, in writing, addressed
