NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 NOTICE OF CONFIRMING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER BRIDLEWAYS 47 BOLTBY, 9 COWESBY AND 1 KIRBY KNOWLE (KIRBY KNOWLE MOOR) DIVERSION ORDER 2013
On 31 October 2013 the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed the above Diversion Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the bridleway onto a more northerly route across the moor and directly into Boltby Forest avoiding Cowesby Moor. The concurrent extiguishment Order will close the footpath spur at Seta Pike as shown on the Order map. The Diversion Order came into force on the 15 August 2014. NOTICE OF CONFIRMING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER FOOTPATH 48 BOLTBY (SETA PIKE) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2013 On 31 October 2013 the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed the above Extinguishment Order under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to close a footpath spur at Seta Pike which becomes redundant due to a concurrent diversion order taking the bridleway over Kirby Knowle Moor directly into Boltby Forest avoiding Cowesby Moor as shown on the Order map. The Extinguishment Order came into force on the 31 October 2013. A copy of the above Orders and the Order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at The Post Office, 26 Market Place, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 1LP until 6 March 2015. Copies of the Orders and maps may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG or telephone: (01723) 232490 quoting ref: PJM/EC20/154. If a person aggrieved by the Orders wants to question their validity, or that of any provision contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, make an application to the High Court.
