NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY FOOTPATH NO. 14, CARPERBY DIVERSION ORDER 2015

On 25 March, 2015 the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from a point from the County Road in Carperby village at the entrance gate to Walmur House at Grid Reference SE 0082 8985 south easterly through the garden passing between buildings and through three field gates to the junction with another footpath at Grid Reference SE 0089 8976 onto a line running parallel and starting from a point from the County Road in Carperby village opposite the Wheatsheaf Inn, approximately 20 metres north east of the existing footpath and bearing south easterly to a foot bridge, bearing south, south east across the field for approx. 85 metres to a pedestrian gate and the footpath junction at Grid Reference SE 0089 8976, as shown on the Order map.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY FOOTPATH NO. 18, CARPERBY DIVERSION ORDER 2015

On 25 March, 2015 the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from a point within a field, approximately 160 metres south, south east of West Grove Farm, Carperby at Grid Reference SE 0069 8955, travelling generally in a north, north westerly direction on a gentle downhill slope, levelling out before passing through two field gates in-between buildings and through the farmyard to join the County Road in Carperby village, onto a line running from the same point south, south east of West Grove Farm running in a north, north easterly direction for approximately 74 metres to a pedestrian gate in the boundary wall, continuing north and north, north westerly for approximately 96 metres to join Footpath No. 16, Carperby as shown on the Order map.

Copies of the above Orders and the Order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Office at Yoredale, Bainbridge, Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 3EL until 22 May, 2015. Copies of the Orders and maps may be obtained there and at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Office at ‘Colvend’, Hebden Road, Grassington, Skipton BD23 5LB, free of charge.

The above Orders come into force at the end of 42 days from the date of confirmation, but if a person aggrieved by either Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to that Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 10 April, 2015, make an application to the High Court.
