APPLICATION FOR LISTED BUILDING CONSENT

Proposed development at Thirsk Old Bridge, Ingramgate, Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
I give notice that Corporate Director, Business & Environmental Services is applying to North Yorkshire County Council for Listed Building Consent for the localised dismantling of the Southern parapet and replacement with new stones, replacement of heavily weathered stone to the northern elevation, eroded joints to be raked out and repointed using mortar to match prevailing existing mortar, resurface the northern footway over structure, resurfacing of the bridge over the full width up to the kerb face, refresh road markings, structure to be cleaned of vegetation.
The building concerned is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest compiled under the above Act.
The part of Thirsk within which the proposed development is situated has been designated a Conservation Area under the above Act as the area is of special architectural or historic interest the character of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance. Members of the public may view the application, the plans, and other documents submitted with the application at Hambleton District Council, Planning Department, Civic Centre, Stone Cross, Northallerton during all reasonable hours until 7 August 2015. Please note that this may require a prior appointment. You are advised to check with the Council before making your visit. The application may also be viewed using the Online Planning Register on the County Council's web-site www.northyorks.gov.uk
