(FOOTPATH NO. 39 SEDGEFIELD PARISH/FOXTON NO. 3 FOOTBRIDGE, FOXTON, NEAR SEDGEFIELD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2015
The above-named Order made by the Council on 06.08.15 became operational on 12.08.15 has been continued in force from 12.02.16, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 12.08.17, or until the footbridge repair or replacement works are complete, whichever is the sooner. The effect of the Order closes to pedestrian traffic a 45m length of Footpath No. 39 Sedgefield Parish between the field boundaries which crosses Foxton No. 3 Footbridge South of Shotton, East of Foxton. Alternative route: via the network of other rights of way in the area.
(A689/A177 LITTLE CHEF ROUNDABOUT, SEDGEFIELD) (TEMPORARY ROAD PROHIBITION/RESTRICTION) ORDER 2016
The Councilproposes in not less than 7 daysfromthe date ofthis notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to prohibit/restrict all vehicular traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken as follows: A Speed Limit Restriction - Prohibit vehicular traffic from driving at aspeed inexcess of: a. 40mphalong 1. A689 easterlyfromapoint90meastofcirculatoryroadoftheA177 Sands Hall Roundabout, Sedgefield; 2. A689 westerly from a point 550m east of the eastern nib of the central reserve crossover leading to Donnewell Farm and; 3. A177 north westerly from 75m southeastofthenibatthestartofthedualcarriagewayatThorpe Larches to A689. B Contraflows & Prohibition of movement - Prohibit the movement of vehicular traffic over: a. A689 and between the central reserve crossover 380m east of Sands Hall Roundabout and the central reserve crossover opposite Donnewell Farm, Sedgefield and including the circulatory carriageway of the A689/A177 Little Chef Roundabout; b. A177 between the end ofthe dual carriageway at Thorpe Larches and A689/A177 Little Chef Roundabout: 1. No person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed in one or more lanes of the carriageway ofthe lengths of road specified in Article B) of this Order during phases closures aroundA689/A177 Little ChefRoundabout during the resurfacing works as indicated on site by appropriate signs; 2. During the closure of the sections of dual carriageway specified in Article B) a. & b. above, no person shall cause any vehicle to: i. Enter or proceed in the offside lane of the opposing lengths of the carriageway as specified in Article B) a. & b. above, other than in a converse direction; ii. Overtake any moving vehicle in that length of carriageway; iii. Make a right turn to/from road junctions in that section of carriageway; and iv. To make a U-turn in that length of carriageway. The maximum duration of the temporary prohibition/restriction under the Order is 18 months and is required from 21.02.16 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 8 days. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: Restriction B) 1) From A689 easterly to and around Wynyard Roundabout and returning westbound along A689 to A177 Sedgefield-Stockton; 2) From A689 westerly to and around Sands Hall Roundabout and returning eastbound along A689 to A689 Sedgefield-Hartlepool; 3) From A177 south easterly to and around the Horse and Jockey Roundabout, Stockton and returning north westerly along A177 to A689 Sedgefield-Hartlepool/Bishop Auckland.
