Notice is hereby given that WH Smith has applied in respect of the WH Smith (Darlington) Darlington Bank Top Railway Station Darlington DL1 4AA for the grant of a new premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following: This is an application to permit the sale of alcohol Monday to Saturday from 06.15h until 20.00h and Sunday from 10.00h until 20.00h. Whilst the WH Smith store will only trade during the hours requested for the sale of alcohol, the railway station itself may be open 24 hours. Representations to this application must be made in writing, by 10 September 2012, to the Darlington Borough Council Licensing Authority at 11 Houndgate, Darlington, DL1 5RF where the register of licensing applications can be inspected between 08:45 and 16:45 Monday to Thursday and 08:45 and 16:15 Friday and/or at http://www.darlington.gov.uk. It is an offence on summary conviction, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application, the maximum fine for which is, £5000.
