YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) (FOOTPATH NO.100 [PART] HAWES) ORDER 2012 NO.2 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended) Notice is hereby given that the above Order, made by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority on 23rd March 2012, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along part of Footpath No.100 running through High Houses woodland plantation in the parish of Hawes in the district of Richmondshire for a distance of 590 metres between Grid References SD 8395 8822 and SD 8365 8773 from 1st April 2012 until 30th September 2012 inclusive due to works being executed on or near the route, has been continued in force under Section 15(5) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 March 2013 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The closure will be continued in effect by the erection of notices and signs on site. The alternative route to be used during the closure period is as follows:- From the northern point of closure on the road at Grid Reference 8395 8822 proceed southwards following the road, initially on a tarmac surface then concrete, for approximately 1045 metres then turn generally westwards for approximately 115 metres to join Footpath 99 near the derelict farm buildings of High Houses at Grid Reference SD 8354 8727.
