THURKETTLE (formerly Dodds, nee Watson) Jean, aged 85 years, peacefully on June 25, of Darlington (former Deputy Head of Hummersknott School). Beloved wife of the late James Thurkettle and John Dodds and a dearly loved mother of John and stepmother of Helen. A Service of Thanksgiving to take place in All Saints Church, Blackwell on Friday, July 15 at 12.00 noon. No flowers by request. Donations if desired may be sent for either Save the Children or the Great North Air Ambulance Service c/o Whitehouse Funeral Service.
