WEIR Mary of Barnard Castle formerly of Newsham, aged 81 years died peacefully at home on January 9, 2017, after a prolonged battle with various illnesses. Beloved wife for 61 years of Bob, much loved mum to James and Alex, and their partners Penny and James, sadly missed by grandsons Joshua and Finlay, and all her family and friends. A service is to be held at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle, on Monday, January 23, at 14:00. Please wear bright colours as this is a celebration of her life. Donations in lieu of flowers, may be given in Church to the Butterwick Hospice and Church funds, or sent, c/o G Brownless & Son, Funeral Directors, Green Close, Park Terrace, Barnard Castle, Co. Durham. DL12 8NN.
