BIRBECK Ruth (nee binks) of Pennine View, Nateby, died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday April 2, aged 74. A short illness fought with such courage and bravery. Dearly loved wife of Alan, adored mother to Christine and Stephen, much loved mother-in-law to Stewart and doting Grandma to Graham, Claire and Violet. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday April 18, at 12 noon, at the Centenary Methodist Church, Kirkby Stephen, followed by private burial. Family flowers only. Donations if desired, will be divided between Cancer Research and the new class room at Kirkby Stephen Primary School given her love of children. C/o T.N Hodgsons and Son Funeral Directors.
