PORTWOOD Peacefully on February 16, after a long illness at St. Teresa's Hospice, Darlington, Madeleine Mary, aged 63 years. Beloved wife of John and devoted mother of Nicholas. Her life has made and continues to make a difference to thousands of children in the North-East, throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide. The funeral will be held in St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Wolsingham, on Tuesday, March 5, at 11:00am, followed by interment in the Churchyard. All welcome for refreshments in Wolsingham Masonic Hall afterwards. Donations in her memory, for The Dyspraxia Foundation, may be given at the reception or sent to N. Alderson Funeral Directors, Flass Terrace, Ushaw Moor, Durham. DH7 7LD.
