SMITH Peter, of Great Ayton, died peacefully at home aged 76, on May 28, surrounded by his loving family. Adored husband of Fiona, cherished dad to Andrew and Lucy, treasured pops to Penny, beloved brother to John and much-loved father-in-law to Catherine and George. The laughter has gone but the memories live on. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 11.30am on Wednesday June 9, in Christ Church, Great Ayton, for family and invited close friends, in line with current restrictions. For those wishing to pay their respects, the cortege will leave the residence at 10.15am on Wednesday June 9, for a private family committal and cremation. The following Thanksgiving service will also be broadcast live outside the church at 11.30am.
