KNOWLES June Formerly of Colburn and Catterick Village. Died peacefully at Rosedale Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison on 17th December, aged 86 years. Much loved sister to Ivan, sister-in-law to Unice and aunty to Steven and Denise. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday 10th January at 12.00 noon. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please.

Only just heard the sad news of June's passing. In the mid sixties she was our family's nanny/housekeeper and I'm sure 6 kids and escaping pigs kept her busy and constantly tested her patience. Our family emigrated to Canada in 1967 and it was not until 50 years later during a trip to the UK that I had the good fortune to see June again. Although clearly suffering from arthritis, June prepared sandwiches for my wife and me. During our short visit, I was reminded again of her kind and gentle nature. May she rest in peace.
