HURWORTH 1st June, peacefully at home in Darlington. John Maitland, aged 87 years, dearly loved husband of Christine and much loved dad of Andrew, David and Graeme. Funeral Thursday 20th June. Friends please meet for service in Elm Ridge Methodist Church at 11.15am., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given at the service for St Teresa's Hospice.

John, a true gentleman with wry sense of humour. A loyal supporter of Darlington Football Club and local history groups. He will be missed by many. RIP John
