THISTLETHWAITE Pat Passed away peacefully at home on 3rd October aged 91 years, of Dale Grove Leyburn. Beloved wife of the late David of South Dyke Farm Garriston, loving and loved mother of Dominic Rivron and a loving grandmother and great grandmother. At Pat's request a private cremation will be followed by a Celebration of her Life at Tennants Garden Rooms Leyburn on Thursday 24th October at 2.00pm, to which all are invited. There is no cause for sadness after what has been a long and happy Life. Please wear bright and cheerful clothes and any donations in memory of Pat will go to Medicines sans Frontiers.

Pat was such a loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I wanted to write a tribute here today as it’s her birthday. She used to light a pumpkin lantern every year and this year my daughter had the idea of engraving her initials on a pumpkin and lighting it for her.
We will miss her so much. My daughter is almost 8 and I wanted to include a picture of her great grandchildren here, particularly as you can see her likeness to Pat in the above picture that’s been posted.
Anybody who was fortunate enough to know her knows what a graceful and just all round wonderful person to be around she was.
We will miss you so much.

For several years before her death, Pat was an enthusiastic blogger with online friends all over the world. She was much cherished and respected by the blogging community. Her blog was called "The Weaver of Grass" and to most bloggers she was simply known as "Weaver". Pat is missed by all of us. The picture of Pat at the age of eight was published in her blog a few years ago.

She was a sensible woman who loved people, and nature, and her garden. I shall miss her.
