A VICAR has been officially inducted into her new parish of Brompton-on-Swale, Bolton-on-Swale, Easby and Skeeby.
The Reverend Yvonne Callaghan, formally vicar of Middleham, celebrated her appointment in her induction and installation service at St Agatha’s Church in Skeeby.
She said: “The service was just amazing, I had a wonderful night.
“I am really looking forward to getting to work, it is such a lovely area and everyone has been so lovely and welcoming.
“I am especially looking forward to this Sunday and Easter Sunday, when I will be visiting each church in the parish, and the Good Friday Walk of Witness from St Paul’s Church in Brompton-on-Swale.”
Mrs Callaghan, originally from Leeds, moved with her family to Middleham in 2008, and hopes that she will remain in Brompton-onSwale for the foreseeable future.
