Wedding dresses are to be sold for just £200 at a charity fashion show in York on Monday (April 22).
The event, held by the Georgina Grace Trust at the Marriott Hotel, on Tadcaster Road in York will involve the sale of dresses, mostly still with their original tags, in sizes from 8 to 26. The dresses have been for sale priced between £550 and £1,400 but are all on sale for one price of £200. Prom and evening dresses will also be on sale for £50. There will also be a selection of shoes and tiaras available and other stalls. Admission is £3 and doors open 7pm. The trust raises money to buy equipment for disabled children in York.
CHOIR PERFORMANCE: East Witton Male Voice Choir will be performing its Spring Concert at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 24 at the Methodist Hall in Leyburn. Led by musical director Dianna Hartley and the choir’s pianist Ruth Biker, the choir will perform pieces from Les Miserables and various other solo items and choir pieces. The event will raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
