MODEL trains, planes, and automobiles will be on display during an annual modelling event this weekend.
Model Mania takes place at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum, in Shildon, County Durham, on Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7, featuring an array of models from clubs and individuals across the region.
Exhibitors will include the Newton Aycliffe Model Flying Club; Durham Model Truck Club; Roker Park Model Boat Club; Shildon Model Railway Club; and Darlington Scale Modellers.
They will be joined by the North Eastern Meccano Society; Film & TV Model Club; Coniscliffe Carving Club; the OO Live Steam Club; IPMS Langley Moor; and IPMS Cleveland.
There will also be a wide range of trade stands.
The South Durham Model Engineers will provide rides on a miniature steam train and the museum’s steam tservice hauled by Peckett No. 2012 Teddy.
Historic model Orion, which belongs to the Stephenson Locomotive Society, will also be in steam at the event.
The museum is open 10am to 5pm, daily. Free entry.
