A TRAVEL agents in Northallerton has been shortlisted for an award in recognition of the work it has done for the community.
Hays Travel on the high street in the town, was nominated for the 'Best Travel Agencies in the British Isles -Yorkshire' in December.
It was mainly recognised for its help in raising over £6,000 for the newly opened, Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Cancer Centre at the Friarage Hospital in the town centre.
Leah Dale assistant manager said: "All the girls and customers are overwhelmed - To get to the final four stores is a great achievement."
The store previously won the Hays Travel 'Community partnership of the year' award for its work, raising money for the Friarage.
She added: "During the whole of 2018, we did different charity events."
The awards will be held on Thursday, April 25 at the national event in Birmingham where the final 50 travel agencies will be sorted into categories, before each winner is announced.
