THE Richmond Motor Club organising team will be keeping alert for the Albert Shaw Memorial Day weather forecasts for the next few days.
The club will head for Kexwith Farm out on the moors near Hurst hoping that there is not repeat of the 1971 conditions when snow blanketed North Yorkshire.
The Ridley family has allowed motor cycle events to take place on their land for many years. On Boxing Day, Nigel Cummings and his team of course plotters will be at Copplethwaite where the Boxing Day Trial will start.
The youngsters also have a separate trials course of eight sections overseen by Paul Astwood. Nigel Cummings has located 15 sections on the main course which will be ridden twice. The route will be longer than usual hence the extra sections.
The only factor that the organisers cannot control is the weather.
