THE outdoor bowling season begins on Saturday, April 16 when Pat Robinson, the first female president in Northallerton Bowling Club’s history, will officially open the green.
The club, founded in 1900, on land at the north end of the town near the Low Gates Railway Crossing, has been at its present site on South Parade, since 1930.
Pat is delighted to take on the role of president, and said: "The last two years have been challenging and everyone is looking forward to the new season with a full fixture programme of both league and friendly matches. In particular, we are looking forward to welcoming new members at our open day on Saturday, May 23 at 10am and also on our club afternoons on Tuesdays at 2pm."
