POPSTAR Paloma Faith’s Darlington concert has been cancelled at short notice.
The double platinum and BRIT award-winning singer was due to appear at the Mowden Park Arena on Saturday, July 16.
A statement on ticketing website Ticketmaster reads: “This event has been cancelled. Ticket sales have stopped, but there may be tickets available for other dates.”
The reason behind the cancellation has not been disclosed, but Paloma Faith recently announced the death of a her “dear friend, band mate and touring MD @b.b.bones following terminal illness”.
Ticketholders on social media have told of receiving an email from the arena of the cancellation announcement.

A statement read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the Paloma Faith concert on 16th July has been cancelled.
“All ticket holders who have purchased a ticket will be entitled to a refund, available from your point of purchase.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Please note our remaining concerts at the Darlington Arena this summer are not affected by this cancellation.”
Darlington Mowden Park Arena has been contacted for further comment.
