The price of filling up a tank of petrol is continuing to fall slowly after months of motorists facing sky-high prices at the pumps.
The average cost of a litre of unleaded petrol was 172.3p on Wednesday (August 17), down a penny on the start of the week, according to data from RAC Fuel Watch.
It was a similar story for the price of diesel, with a litre costing on average 183.3p on Wednesday also down on prices on Monday.

They were forced to call in extra tankers as cars queues for the value fuel.

Prices have started falling over the last month after rates rocketed in June.
