BISHOP Auckland Choral Society is dedicating its spring concert to long-serving member John Foulds, who died in December.
Mr Foulds, senior obstetrician and gynaecologist at Bishop Auckland General Hospital for many years, sang with the choral society for two decades and was also chairman of the town's music society.
The concert in Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Friday, May 9, features Jesmond Choral Society and the Cobweb Orchestra.
Included on the programme are Beethoven's Fantasia and Prince Igor by Borodin. Music scholar Emily Devine will also perform.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £9, concessions £7. Ring 01388-834359 or 747621 or pay at the door.
