A DARLINGTON company is celebrating after receiving a Queen's Award for Enterprise.
Cummins, of Yarm Road, which manufactures diesel engines, has won an international trade award.
In total, seven businesses and three people in the North-East were recognised in the scheme - the UK's premier awards for business achievement.
They include British Horse Feeds, of Masham, and DuPont Teijin Films, of Middlesbrough, which both received awards for innovation.
In the individual awards, Brian Dunsby, of Perlex Associates, Harrogate - an entrepreneur who has helped others to start up businesses - also received a Queen's Award for enterprise promotion.
Cummins produces diesel engines and components for construction, power generation, military and marine applications.
