A successful wine tasting evening resulted in a large donation to support Northallerton's Friarage Hospital.
Mike Holmes, president of the Rotary Club of Northallerton, presented a cheque for £1,107.29, the full proceeds of the "Call My Bluff" event, to Friends of the Friarage co-chairs, Susan Watson and Tony Walters. They thanked the Rotary Club for their continued support.
Mr Holmes said: "Our hospital is vital to people in the Northallerton area and across the Yorkshire Dales. Helping the Friends of the Friarage to support this valuable asset is a natural and rewarding part of our Rotary work in the community."
The Friends charity works tirelessly to raise money for new facilities at the Friarage Hospital, many of which have brought treatment closer to North Yorkshire patients.
