Visitors can find out more about the art of beekeeping at a special event on Saturday.
Darlington Beekeepers Association (DBKA) are hosting an open day from 2pm until 4pm at the Denes Apiary, the Denes, on Widdowfield Street, Darlington.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Our team there will introduce members of the public to the fascinating experience of beekeeping. There are beehives to view safely, as well as demonstration hives.
"There will be different types of honey for sale along with beeswax products.
"Refreshments will be available for you to enjoy as you chat to DBKA members about their intriguing hobby and the importance of the honey bees' role in the environment.
"Everybody welcome to join in on World Bee Day."
