A man was arrested and drugs seized after police stopped a vehicle on the A19 this morning (Tuesday, May 16).
Cleveland Police have confirmed a man, 32, was arrested and 150 cannabis plants were seized after Cleveland Specialist Operations Unit officers stopped a Ford transit van on the A19 in Stockton at 1.40am today (May 16).
The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of class B drugs and he remains in police custody at this time.
Police confirmed cultivation equipment was seized during the stop.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A vehicle stopped by Cleveland Specialist Operations Unit officers led to the arrest of a man and recovery of 150 cannabis plants and cultivation equipment in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 16th May.
"Around 1.40am today a Ford transit van was stopped by police on the A19 in Stockton.
"Approximately 150 cannabis plants were seized along with cultivation equipment.
"A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of class B drugs and he remains in police custody at this time."
