A concert run by farmer and music fan Peter Fall and his family and friends has raised £18,388 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance - bringing their overall total to a staggering £125,935.
Devoted music fan Peter turns his farm at Patrick Brompton, near Bedale into The Barn That Rocks concert venue for one night of the year to raise money for charities close to his heart.
Tickets are always sold out as Peter has to restrict numbers to 800 because of fire and health and safety restrictions. This was the 11th concert to be staged at the farm - the event had to be cancelled for two years during the Covid pandemic - and Peter said it was undoubtedly the best so far.
He added: "It was astonishing, the bands were brilliant, the crowd was fantastic and our volunteers were excellent, the weather was lovely if a little too hot, and the food was a great success.
"Everyone worked so hard and it really paid off. I was in tears by the end of the night as I tried to thank everyone who came, it is such a huge thing for us and everybody really pulls the stops out and backs us.
“We’ve already had people wanting to book tickets for next year, and to be fair we have started organising it for June 1, 2024. It is staggering that we have been so well supported but we can only say we really appreciate all the backing we have had, we can’t thank people enough.”
The oldest concert goer was 101-year-old Gwen Megginson, a long time friend of Peter and his family, and with many youngsters under 12 also attending it really was a concert for all age groups.
A presentation is due to be made to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance at the charity's centre at Nostell Priory.
