A man has been charged with attempted murder and firearms offences after an incident at the Tan Hill Inn in Swaledale, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the Tan Hill Inn in Swaledale at around 10.40pm on Friday, July 21 to attend a man in his 40s who had sustained serious arm injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital for further treatment, with his injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Subsequently, a 46-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, firearms offences, ABH and battery.

He is in custody and will appear at York Magistrates Court on Monday.
A woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, but she has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
North Yorkshire Police have now said there were several people were at the four hundred year old pub at the time of the incident as they appeal to the public for information.
