Duke Street in Darlington will undergo more work with some night closures involved from next week.
From the week commencing Monday, August 14, the footpath will be reinstated from Barnard Street to Raby Terrace south side.
Darlington Borough Council is closing the carriageway for one night on Monday, August 21.
The closure will be in place from 7pm until 5am to carry out carriageway planning of the new cycleway.

The carriageway will be closed from the Larchfield Street junction to the Raby Terrace junction with access to Barnard Street via Raby Terrace
There will be no access after 10am due to the work carried out on the footpath on the Skinnergate junction of Raby Terrace.
Once the night-time closure is complete on Monday, August 21, the Barnard Street junction will remain one-way traffic out of Barnard Street
From Tuesday, August 22, work will be carried out on the junction of Barnard Street.

Due to the width of the road it will not be possible for the work to be safely carried out while maintaining two-way traffic.
Vehicles, therefore, will only have access to Barnard Street from Duke Street and there will be no exit from Barnard Street onto Duke Street.
These measures will be in place for approximately three weeks to allow the installation of the build-outs either side of the junction along with the cycleway opposite.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
