A council has explained that waste at North East two estates was not collected due to a staff shortage.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (RCBC) have announced it was unable to collect garden waste Galley Hill Estate and Thames Road Estate in Guisborough yesterday (September 14) due to a staff shortage.
The council asked residents to bring their bins and present them again first thing this morning (September 15) to be collected.
A spokesperson for RCBC apologised to affected residents and thanked them for their understanding.

They said: "Due to staffing shortages we have not been able to collect the garden waste bins in the following areas in Guisborough: Galley Hill Estate, Thames Road Estate.
"We ask that residents bring the bin in overnight and present it again first thing in the morning for collection.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank residents for their understanding."
