Eight charities will take part in an autumn fair in Northallerton's lower Town Hall, on Saturday, September 30.

The event will run from 9am until midday, and stalls will feature Friends of the Friarage Hospital, Guide Dogs, Northallerton and District ME Support Group, Hambleton Community Action, Northallerton Men's Shed, RSPCA Northallerton Thirsk and Dales, CRUTCH, and a bric-a-brac stall run by the Rotary Club of Northallerton.

The Rotary Club will host and fund the event, paying for the hire of the hall and helping the charities by inviting them to run stalls at no charge.

Rotary members will also serve refreshments including bacon butties and cakes, to help cover the cost of the hall hire.

A spokesperson said: "Please come along to browse and support your favourite charity, while enjoying a cup of tea, coffee or juice and that delicious bacon buttie in friendly surroundings. Admission is free."
