A spokesperson for Your Home Group, the developers, said: "A new luxury hotel, Bowles Hotels - 16 West Terrace, Redcar has unearthed treasure from the 1700s during the second phase of its development.
"The collection is now set to go on display in a new museum being built at basement level within the complex to preserve the local history of Middlesbrough.
"Guests will be able to visit the museum during their stay.
"Amongst the treasure found, the team discovered mortgage deeds dating back to 1711, gold rings, letters from World War 1, photographs dating back to 1875, diamond pendants, an 18k gold pocket watch and invitations to a local ball held in the early 1900s.
"Many more historical artifacts are currently being examined."
The new apartment complex will open next month and include ten apartments.
All of the properties will have a "new level of luxury" with 60-inch smart tv's, rainfall showers wireless charging, electric car charging ports and AI technolog integrated in the buildings.

Jamey Bowles, CEO at Bowles Hotels said: “Redcar is a vastly expanding seaside town with much ongoing redevelopment-wise bringing new people to the area to both live, work and for holidays.
“I feel Redcar has had a lot of investment – there are a lot of local projects that have already been built and are planned over the next few years.
"There’s a market appetite for high end, secure luxury short term accommodation and Bowles Hotels aims to fill that market gap with its very first seafront hotel."
