The Wensleydale Railway will be the subject of a lunchtime talk at North Yorkshire County Record Office.
The talk will look at the development of the heritage railway and its forthcoming programme.
Community engagement officer Connor Lagus will be supported by Wensleydale Railway volunteer Christine Butterworth. She will play the role of Elizabeth Newton, a station master’s wife, who will tell the story of her family’s life and how they came to work at Leeming Bar station in the 1920s.
The talk has been organised by the County Record Office with the Northallerton and District Local History Society.
It will take place at the County Record Office, Malpas Road, Northallerton, on Friday, November 24, at 12.30pm. The talk will last about 45 minutes and will be followed by a discussion.
Entry costs £2 and light refreshments are included. Advance booking not necessary.
