The annual Crathorne Hall Marie Curie Ball took place on November 10.
Organiser Elsa Taylor, who promised Lady Sylvia Crathorne, shortly before her death, that the fundraiser would continue, gave grateful thanks to the 82 guests, who were so generous on the night, both with the raffle and the auction.
The evening proved to be a very happy and successful occasion, and the hall staff and entertainers were also thanked for their attentive help and support.
The event's final profit, with gift aid, was £7,722.45. Elsa said it was, "a fabulous outcome, which will provide many more urgently needed nursing hours in our region."
Next year's ball will take place on November 15.
