Access campaigner Debbie North will present a free online talk on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 17.
Since becoming a wheelchair user in 2011, Debbie, of Access the Dales, has campaigned tirelessly to break down barriers and promote countryside accessibility for all.
With its motto ‘making the inaccessible accessible’, the charity has already fund raised for nine ‘free to borrow’ all -terrain wheelchairs which are available from designated sites across the Dales.
Debbie was also appointed Cabinet Office Disability and Access ambassador for the Countryside in 2022.
This talk, at 4.30pm on January 17, one of a series by the Friends of the Dales charity, offers an opportunity to learn about the successes and improvements Debbie’s campaigning has achieved, along with the challenges still to surmount.
