With thousands of runners expected to don their trainers and take to Middlesbrough's Roads this weekend for the Middlesbrough half marathon, here are road closures you should watch out for during the event.
Road closures will be put in place in across the town along the routes for the half-marathon, 10k, and juniors events this Sunday (March 3).
The event will start in Centre Square, outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, the course of closed roads heads out through Albert Park, passing the home of Middlesbrough FC at Riverside Stadium, before looping around the docks to finish back in Centre Square.
Due to the road closures in place, there will be a strict three-hour time limit for the half marathon, with all roads expected to be back open by 1 pm on Sunday.
Here are all the road closures in Middlesbrough this Sunday, with their start and end times:
- 7:00am -1:00pm – Grange Road, Albert Road
- 08:30am - 09:30am – Linthorpe Road & The Crescent
- 08:30am - 10:00am – Roman Road, Green Lane & Acklam Road
- 08:35am - 10:20am – Hall Drive, Cawood Drive, Glendale Road, Emerson Avenue, Keith Road & Marton Burn Road
- 08:35am - 10:45am – Marton Road
- 08:40am - 10:50am – Borough Road
- 08:40am - 11:00am – Vulcan Street, Priestman Road & Shepherdson Way
- 08:45am - 11:35am – Durham Street, Lower Feversham Road & Winward Way
- 08:45am - 12:00am – Depot Road, Riverside Park Road, Ironmasters Way, Forty Foot Road
- 08:45am - 12:15am – Snowdon Road, Stockton Street, Richmond Street, Gosford Street, Queen’s Square & Exchange Place.
