Are you looking for something to do this Easter weekend? Are you a festival lover or indie music fan? If so, get yourself down to one of the best festivals across the North East this Saturday 30th March - Stockton Calling!
Promoted by ARC, KU Promotions, and Tees Music Alliance, Stockton Calling is a day-long music festival that showcases a wide variety of bands and music artists, providing a spotlight for small, local acts to be discovered by new fans as hundreds of people flock in attendance.
Every year the individual sets of the incredible line-up take place across multiple host venues within Stockton-On-Tees’ Town Centre; including NE Volume music bar and The Georgian Theatre - two venues that really value supporting local talent. So if you’re wanting to avoid the doom and gloom of the recent rainy weather then secure yourself a ticket, take shelter in the indoor venues, enjoy a beverage or two and possibly even find your new favourite band!
Want to know how the acts are feeling ahead of the big day? I received the opportunity to chat to one individual whose band is featured on the exclusive line-up; Ella Aspin is the brilliant bassist in ‘Maeve and the Trains’, a local 3-piece punk rock band who are playing at The Green Room on Saturday. When asked if she is looking forward to playing a set during the festival, her response was very enthusiastic - “I think it’s a great opportunity to both enjoy music from bands you look up to and also to discover something new.. we’re proud to be apart of the North East’s music scene, it’s good to see it being celebrated through Stockton Calling”.
All in all, it is safe to assume from the vast array of musical talent on display on the festival’s line-up that Stockton Calling 2024 is an event that will be a hit amongst the local community, as it has been every year previously - so don’t miss out! Grab yourself a ticket and get one for a friend too!
