Points for Portofino
If you’ve been looking for a meal out in the Ripon area but haven't found the right place, then look no further. Portofino provides a taste of Italy, with more besides, and you don’t have to spend a fortune!
The restaurant is located on Kirkgate street in Ripon, very close to the Cathedral so it’s a good destination after a walk in the historic city or a visit to the town square, which is also just a short stroll away. Furthermore, they’re open every day for lunch and dinner so timing is no limit if you want a quick bite to eat. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a tasteful, modern interior which blends contemporary styles with Italian hints.
When talking to recent visitors to Portofino I learned what they had to say about the restaurant. One visitor said, “The food and interior were great. There were options for all the family, even those who don’t normally go for Italian food. It’s great for families and not overly expensive. I would definitely recommend it.” Another recent visitor to the restaurant said, “A very good more affordable family Italian restaurant with tasty, wholesome food.”
The menu is expansive with options even for those who aren’t partial to Italian foods with burgers, steak, fish and many options besides, along with the staple pasta dishes and pizzas. Furthermore, the food is affordable and well worth the money you’ll pay for it. Also, Christmas is well addressed with a delicious Christmas menu I had the opportunity to have last year. So, in conclusion, this restaurant is an excellent choice if you're looking for a meal out with an ideal location and excellent food. I give it 4 and a half stars.
