Two motorbikes stolen from Swainby, near Stokesley, were found within an hour of their theft being reported, police said.
North Yorkshire Police said the force received an online crime report, detailing the theft just before 7am on Sunday.
"Acting on the information received, officers from our Roads Policing Group attended a location in the Cleveland area, and within an hour of the report, found the stolen bikes," a police spokesperson said.
"They have since been returned to their rightful owners.
"Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible for the theft.
"Crime can be reported to the police via our website or the PoliceUK mobile app. Reports will be dealt with in the same way as if you had phoned 101. Remember, always dial 999 in an emergency."
